Under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, S.S. Lootah Group recently ran a ‘Green Car Campaign’ as part of its ‘Epic’ Dubai, sustainable initiative to create awareness on sustainable modes of transportation and introduce the technology behind green cars to university students.
Sheikh Nahyan visited the green showcase of electric and solar cars at the Higher Colleges of Technology Abu Dhabi campus and signed a pledge in the presence of a large number of students and senior officials, while reiterating the UAE’s commitment to protect the environment in order to become one of the best countries in the world in this area by 2021. The minister called upon the students to adopt a sustainable lifestyle with wise use of science and technology and contribute to the development of the nation.
