ADW Students Win 1st Prize At UAE Hackathon 2.0

A group of four HCT-Abu Dhabi Women’s campus (ADW) Computer Information Science students took their participation in the UAE Hackathon 2.0 at Khalifa University, to the next level when they won first place.

The winning students were:

  • Asma Mohamed Ahmed Malalla Alshehhi.
  • Dana Ali Hamad Alkhales Al Ameri.
  • Maryam Ali Ahmed Ali Al Hosani.
  • Shaima Husain Alawadhi.

The event helped the students to enhance their skills and enable them to develop innovative solutions and ideas that will allow them to contribute to the happiness index of the many communities in the UAE.

The students attended several workshops about AI, Bigdata and other hot topics, and at the end of the day the students devised the concept of Khader, which is an application to encourage recycling. Moreover, the students designed a prototype for application about how Abu Dhabi people can adopt sustainable behavior by utilizing a green App.
