The HCT-Sharjah Women’s campus (SJW) hosted a hugely successful Financial Awareness Session organized by the Investment and Business Clubs and delivered by key external guest speakers from the National Bank of Fujairah.
The aim of the session was to promote a culture of saving and investment among young Emiratis.
Mr. Sandeep Bhatt, Head of Marketing and Sales at NBF, started the session enlightening students about main differences between conventional and Islamic banking followed by the importance and means of saving.
The second part of the session was led by Mr. Haitham Abdulla, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Investment Manager at NBF, stressing the significance of investment and need for eliminating future inflation effect giving stimulating and real life examples to students.
The final part of the session delivered by Ms. Maitha Al Kaabi , senior officer of Ajyaal at NBF, who talked about a vital banking service initiative launched for young Emiratis by NBF, called Ajyaal, which is a tailor-made banking service aimed at supporting financial needs for the young generation and ability to start saving with as little AED 1,000.
The session concluded with significant insights and increasing interest by Emirati students in knowing more about the role of banks and the various tailored banking products and services.
