RKW Engineering Students Grab First Place in GE Women STEM Challenge 2019

The HCT-Ras Al-Khaimah Women’s campus (RKW) Engineering students’ clinched 1st place in the GE Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Challenge 2019, held at the Dubai Youth Center.

To honor International Women’s Day on March 7, 2019, the GE Corporation hosted the “Women in STEM Challenge”, which saw senior female students from different universities across the UAE invited to solve and present a case study on the role and importance of increased awareness of STEM jobs for women.

The RKW team consisted of 4 students – Marwa Abdulmajeed Altamimi, Noor Salem Jawhar, Shaikha Majed Alshuweihi, and Shaikha Mohammed Al Zaabi, led by Dr. Arif Judi – and were the only team representing HCT.

The RKW students did HCT proud by being awarded first place by the GE judging committee. The RKW are proud of its students and congratulates the entire HCT team.

The Youth Center is a Hub designed for youth to bond, exchange thoughts, and launch their ideas; located in the Trade Center 2, Dubai UAE.
