AAW CIS Students Showcase Interactive Map Project At Al Ain Education & Future Jobs Expo

Computer Information Science (CIS) students, Fatima Khalfan Ali Mubarak Alketbi and Manal Ahmed Dad Mohamad Mahmak, from the HCT-Al Ain Women’ s campus (AAW) were able to share their innovative idea of a campus map with a wide audience when they displayed their project in Zayed Library Al Ain during the recent Al Ain Education & Future Jobs Expo.

The students’ project developed under the supervision of Dr. Maher Salem, CIS faculty, was about an interactive campus map that can zoomed in and out and guides the students with the directions and the major facilities such as the registration office or academic service offices.

During the event, the students interacted with the visitors from schools and their parents and briefed them about their project. In addition, they spoke about the high quality education imparted at AAW, which focuses on learning by doing as an important role in students’ development and making them ready for the job market.

The students were pleased to share the many opportunities they get as HCT students to develop their ideas and participate in the national and international events.
