AAM CIS Faculty Hosts Inaugural Innovative Seminar on 4th IR Topics

The Faculty of Computer Information Science (CIS) at the HCT-Al Ain’s Men Campus (AAM) organized an innovative Inaugural Seminar & Workshop series on the topics relevant to the 4th Industrial Revolution, including AI, IoT, Big Data and Blockchain, led by Dr. Ahmad Al Shami, CIS Division Chair.

The AAM CIS students participated in the event, appreciating the inspiring state-of-the-art technologies, such as Quantum Computing, Artificial intelligence (AI) and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). They were also given a brief of the coming seminars on Big Data, IoT and Blockchain technologies, and the UAE vision and preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The event provided a platform for the CIS students to explore how the UAE is stepping up its efforts at an accelerated rate in order to become a hub and the world’s first open lab for experimenting and adopting the Fourth Industrial Revolution’s technologies.   The participants also got exposure to smart ideas and techniques that can help them in designing sophisticated solutions in their capstone projects.

Ms. Fatima Al Amiri Fatima, Senior Manager Campus Support, appreciated the students’ participation and engagements through the Kahoot Q&A session to about IoT services highlighted in the workshop.
