Peer Tutors Congratulated For Volunteering at ADW’s Academic Success Center

The HCT-Abu Dhabi Women’s campus’s (ADW) Academic Success Center held a ceremony to thank the dedicated student volunteer Peer Tutors who have provided one-on-one tuition to their peers at the center last semester.

The Peer Tutors were grouped in categories according to the number of tutoring hours they completed: 1-5 hours, 6-10 hours, and 11-15 hours. Additionally, one student, Maitha Alhosani, was acknowledged for reaching the Peer Tutoring Gold Tier after completing an outstanding 44 hours of tutoring.

Certificates and trophies were issued to the Peer Tutors by the Abu Dhabi campuses Executive Director, Dr. Aisha Abushlaibi, who expressed her deep appreciation of their volunteer work telling them “giving knowledge is far more valuable than giving money”.

she added that “the Academic Success Center is my favorite place in the college!”

Peer tutors Alia Al Dhaheri and Sara Al Rumaithi said: “the Director’s speech was motivating to all of us” and that “she spoke from the heart”.

Bakheeta Alremeithi asserted that: “the Director’s speech made me feel like I want to work more for this center.”

Seventeen Peer Tutors in total were acknowledged and most of them have signed up to tutor again this semester.
