2 years

The Faculty of Engineering at the HCT-Ras Al-Khaimah Women’s campus (RKW) actively participated in the WorldSkills Asia competition at Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Center, from November 27-29, 2018, by showcasing a variety of their projects.

The nonprofit organization, WordSkills Asia, endorses excellence in the field of expertise and proficiency development. The main focus of WorldSkills Asia is to nurture awareness, enhance professional quality, and provide high-quality vocational education / training for Asian youth and markets.

RKW students presented their capstone project and in return gained ample experience and exposure to many different ideas to improve the project. Students strongly believe that the WorldSkills Asia competition provided them with a great opportunity for interactions, fresh ideas, and skills exchange.

The event was graced by H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Abdullatif Al Shamsi, President and CEO of HCT, and Dr. Yahya Al Ansaari, Executive Director of the HCT-RAK colleges.
