RKM CIS Students Excel at Collaborative Learning Initiative with University Peers

2 years

The first-ever collaborative learning initiative of its kind in Ras Al Khaimah took place a the HCT-RAK Men’s campus (RKM) between three higher education providers – RKM, the American University of Ras Al Khaimah and the University of Bolton in Ras Al Khaimah.

The aim of the event was to showcase the Capstone Projects of each university, so to share ideas and explore the different methodologies and approaches followed by these universities. The event, which established an innovative learning strategy, was also designed to investigate potential opportunities for students’ collaboration in capstone projects between the three institutions in the following semesters.

The exhibition of students’ capstone projects enabled a platform of learning experiences, and allowed for students to develop their practical, analytical and interpersonal skills developed in their studies. This opportunity also allowed for students to share communication with the different sponsors in the IT industry. The exhibition also enabled students to explore different computer information system projects and widen their knowledge.

The exhibition was a very successful event. It created an inspiring space for students, who were motivated to network and exchange ideas with other students from different universities.

RKM students and faculty members received positive feedback regarding the event and tremendous encouragement to repeat the event in the upcoming semesters.
