RKW Hosts ADMAF Roadshow 2018

Applied Media students from the HCT-Ras Al Khaimah Women’s campus (RKW) attended an entertaining and exciting roadshow presented by the Abu Dhabi Music and Art Foundation (ADMAF) at the RKW Auditorium.

The ADMAF Roadshow showcased a variety of marvelous ADMAF’s grants, awards, programs and activities and encouraged the students to participate. In addition, Dr. Kendal Newman, RKWC Applied Media Division Chair, encouraged students to participate in ADMAF’s grants, awards, programs and activities.

Furthermore, the ADMAF representatives announced art and design competitions for the students. The ADMAF Internship Programme provides an opportunity for Emirati undergraduate or recent graduate students to gain invaluable professional experience in various aspects of arts administration including events, marketing, education and community engagement. This internships give students an opportunity to step outside the classroom and build a set of skills applicable in their careers as arts professionals, administrators, and future cultural leaders.

ADMAF Representative also mentioned that they are looking for Emirati volunteers who will act as ADMAF Volunteer Ambassadors during the Abu Dhabi Festival and other events, and who are responsible for welcoming people.

The students had a brief discussion with ADMAF representative, Reem Kassem – Programme Manager, Community and Education, after the presentation and indicated their interest to participate in the proposed events.

The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation seeks to nurture the arts, education, culture and creativity for the benefit of society and the advancement of Abu Dhabi’s cultural vision. Established in 1996 by Her Excellency Hoda Al Khamis Kanoo, ADMAF Founder, the Foundation is a non-profit organization, established under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, to advance classical music, the arts, education, culture and creativity amongst UAE nationals and residents in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
