1 month

A Calligraphy workshop was organized by the HCT-Sharjah Women’s campus’s Applied Media Club for its student members on October 2, 2018, which allowed students to show their artistry and penmanship.

The 15 students who eagerly attended the workshop learnt the how to properly use the Squared Kufic font.  The workshop, led by Lamis Mawafi, was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

Two Applied Media students in attendance, Maryam Faisal and Muna Nasser, expressed their pleasure with the workshop. “The workshop was new and interesting for me because if was the first time we included Arabic Fonts in our activities,” Maryam said.

Muna commented: “Even though I am not really interested in Arabic fonts, the workshop was fun and the way it was taught was really cool.”
