HCT-Sharjah Men’s campus (SJM) participated in the UAE GSRC 2018 conference that was held by the American University in Sharjah, when Ms.Shaikha Al Naqbi, Senior Manager of Operations, and Mrs. Rasha Abou Samra, Innovation and Entrepreneurship course team leader, presented a paper entitled: Conceptualization of the differences between entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs of undergraduate Emirati students.
The duo’s research was a conclusion of group discussion with students who studied the Innovation and Entrepreneurship course.
Another contribution to the conference was a poster presented by SJM Engineering student Rashed Al Hashimi, who conducted a research in collaboration with his lecturer Mrs. Rasha Abou Samra about the landfill bio-gas energy and green house concept.
This research was linked to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship course, with the poster entitled Conceptualization of the factors affecting the potential of success for entrepreneurship in Landfill Gas energy: Case study of the UAE.
The objective of this participation was to encourage students to participate in local and international conferences and to collaborate with their lecturers and administrative staff in conducting research. Rashed Al Hashimi presented his research to a group of visitors from different universities inside and outside the country like Stanford University, Zayed University, American University in Sharjah, and The British University in Dubai.
