The HCT-Ras Al Khaimah campuses celebrated together to honor the groundbreaking achievements of women across the emirates, at a special Emirati Women’s Day celebration on August 28.
Emirati Women’s Day was launched by Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, in 2015 to recognize the crucial role of women in the country. The day recognizes the important roles played, and efforts made, by women in the development, growth, and success of the nation.
The RAK Women’s campus also held a questions competition about the Emirati Women’s Day, which was circulated among all the students.
Dr. Yahya Al Ansaari, Executive Director of Ras Al-Khaimah Campuses, rewarded the winner/ Fayza Mohamad Abdulla Ali from Applied Media.
In order to celebrate this day in honor of their efforts in building future generations and the society, Ras Al Khaimah campuses shared this remarkable day with female staff, faculty, and students by spreading positive atmosphere following up with the inspiration/motivation speech by one of the star graduates Ms. Saeeda Hassan, a distinguished Electrical Engineering graduate who now works with RAK Police department.
Eng. Saeeda also stressed the keenness of the UAE leadership to follow the approach of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in promoting the role of women through the launch of several meaningful and ambitious projects that promote women’s aspirations to be key partners in a variety of work programs.
