To mark Zayed Humanitarian Day on June 4, 2018 (19th Ramadan), Computer Information Science (CIS) faculty members, joined with student members of the CIS club and Soun club at HCT-Al Ain Men’s campus (AAM) to organize a community-focused charity event.
The event was planned in accordance to the Sheikh Zayed’s vision on humanitarian efforts, and represent our love and loyalty to Sheikh Zayed by spreading his message of humanitarian efforts to new generations.
The massive undertaking was organized and supervised by Dr. Munir Naveed and Israr Ahmed, from AAM’s CIS Faculty, while Saif Mohammed, CIS Club president took on a strong leadership role to ensure the day’s activities were executed perfectly.
The event started with collection of charity items at the AAM campus, which were then distributed in Iftar boxes by the CIS club team. The Iftar boxes were then distributed to needy and deserving people in different parts of Al Ain city. The Iftar boxes were also distributed to the community member travelling at the Iftar time.
Dr. Yahya Al’Ansaari, AAM Director, and Fatima Al’Ameri, AAM Senior Manager of Campus Support, highly appreciated the efforts of the CIS club team to plan and execute such charitable activities. They emphasized the importance of arranging such events to align with the vision and mission of the UAE’s late founding father, H. H.
