The HCT-Ras Al Khaimah Women’s campus (RKW) was honored to have Her Highness Sheikha Hana Bint Jumah Al Majid, wife of his Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqar Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attend the graduation ceremony of 27th cohort of students on Thursday, May 10.
The ceremony was held at the RKW Auditorium and attended by staff, faculty, graduates, families and friends. A total of 426 graduates were recognized at the ceremony for completing programs at Master, Bachelor, and Diploma levels in the fields of Engineering, Business, Media, Education and Computer Information Sciences.
Eighty-seven of the graduates received degrees with Distinction, at the levels of Highest Honor, Distinction with Honor and Distinction.
The ceremony started with the national anthem followed by a speech from Maryam Al Hafeet, RKW Senior Manger Campus Support, who welcomed the guests of honor, invitees and graduates on behalf of the HCT Board of Trustees.
She expressed her pleasure at having a new generation of RKW graduates and she wished them all the best of luck in the next stages of their future careers and personal lives.
The graduation speech was delivered by a distinguished graduate, Safeyya Al Zaabi, a Bachelor of Engineering Technology and Science. She wished the best of luck to her fellow alumnae in their future careers.
The ceremony was concluded by Her Highness Sheikha Hana’s congratulations to the graduates followed by the presentation of a small gift from the college to the guest of honor.
