The HCT-Al Ain Men’s (AAM) Career Services department hosted the HSBC bank on campus where its representatives shared its careers and services to interested students.
The bank representatives met with students and discussed full-time and part-time employment opportunities, while sharing the bank’s services with AAM staff and faculty.
“HSBC bank looks to employ students either as a full time or part timers and they already started giving the chance for college students to do part time jobs according to a schedule that matches their college time table”, Pradeep Ninan, HSBC Business Development Manager, said.
HSBC representatives said they were highly impressed with the college students, the college environment and the hospitality offered.
About 65 students from the TSP, Foundations and the Business program approached HSBC representatives relating to part-time and full-time employment opportunities with the bank.
The response from HSBC was highly encouraging to students, while prospective employees approached them to check offers and to get information on the bank services.
“This is an opportunity for students to speak with representatives from the banking sector and allows organizations to meet potential employees in an informal setting and provides participants with a way to determine what jobs in this field are available,” Sana Tobeh, AAM Senior Specialist Student Careers & Work Placement, said.
The AAM Career Services Department took the opportunity to place some Business Finance major students in work experience with the bank’s UK branches.
