Nada Al Shammari, Applied Media Lecturer, at the HCT- Sharjah Women’s campus (SJW) has been named as one of the “90 Arab Women Pillars of Success”, as a part of Women’s Month in the UAE celebrations.

Nada was recognized for her work in using media for civic education regionally and internationally.  The “Inspirational Woman of the Year” award was presented earlier this year and the unveiling of a photography exhibition in the Dubai Mall, featuring Nada and the other women, took place on March 14, 2018.  The photo exhibition profiled a series of influential Arab women from around the world with an interactive social media wall, engaging mall visitors to share their most inspiring person, or moment.

The Dubai Mall recognized International Women’s Day with a three-week celebration shaped to inspire and empower women by celebrating their successes and contributions. The larger than life exhibit adorned the mall’s pillars, profiling 90 Arab woman from the region who have individually made a significant contribution to progressing the role of females in society.

The festivities under the ‘International Women’s Month at The Dubai Mall’, included a series of motivational Women’s Talk, featuring inspiring females. Each Women’s Talk took place at the Dubai Mall, in a public café setting where women from the community can also join in on the relevant discussions of juggling work-life balance, gender balance and inclusion.

Visitors to the Dubai Mall discovered some of the region’s most inspiring women, with ‘Pillars of Success’, a retrospective of some of the Arab Women Awards’ winners over the last decade.
