FJW Family Gets Physical and “Hits the Bricks” for National Sport Day

2 years

Members of the HCT-Fujairah Women’s campus (FJW) community celebrated the National Sport Day by walking or jogging in a five-kilometre circuit around Fujairah’s Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

The activity dubbed ‘5 kilometer’ of walking/jogging was one of many activities geared towards celebrating the Sports National Day at Fujairah Women’s, which saw many employees and students participating. With many staff and faculty participating, students were spurred on to also don their runners and join in the range of physical activities for a healthier lifestyle.

The distance of 5 km was identified as an achievable distance for all ages and abilities, as participants were free to either walk or jog, on the footpath around Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Fujairah.

The feedback from all participants was positive, and everybody was excited to participate in more outdoor activities in the future.

It is hoped that such activities, which encourage the FJW community to join together as a family in promoting health and well-being, will continue on a monthly basis.
