The Student Activity Area of the HCT-Abu Dhabi Men’s campus (ADM) was transformed into a hub of mathematical and physics problem solving exercises as the campus’s Math and Physics Innovation group convened the ADM Math and Physics Innovation Day.
The event aimed to foster an appreciation of Mathematics and Natural Sciences among students, and to promote innovation through a range of hands-on and fun learning exercises.
The activities consisted of the following:
- Physics Project Competition
- Physics Photo Contest
- Physics Critiquing and Improvement Contest
- Calculus Integrator of the Year
- Hands-on and fun activities like Scavenger Hunt, Math Puzzles, Sudoku Challenge, 3D Model Assembly, 3D Pen Art, String and Nail Art, and Geometric Islamic Art
Math and Physics related posters and the Physics Photo contest entries were also exhibited, while a number of suppliers showcased and demonstrated their products and models (Physics kits and data loggers and 3D Printers).
Certificates and awards were given to the winners of the competitions during the opening and awarding ceremonies held at ADM Auditorium. Other awards were also given to winners of fun activities on site.
