AAM Celebrates UAE’s 46th National Day with Pride & Joy

Under the patronage, and presence, of HE Sheikh Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the HCT-Al Ain Men’s campus (AAM) celebrated the 46th National Day of the UAE with a richly entertaining heritage event organized by the AAM’s National Day Team Council.

Dr. Yahya Al Ansaari, AAM Director, the HCT management, approximately 400 students, alumni, faculty, staff and their families and visitors attended the celebrations which included cultural, traditional, and entertainment activities.

The programme started with the arrival of HE Sheikh Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, followed by the playing of the National Anthem by the military band. Dr. Al Ansaari then welcomed the large audience and expressed his appreciation of the achievements realized under the guidance of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan (May God Protect Him), and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council; Rulers of other Emirates; and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Dr. Al Ansaari added that “It is an honor to have HE Sheikh Saeed Bin Tahnoon celebrating this exceptional event that is close to our heart with us. We all felt special in that day. Our students are encouraged to continue the journey of the UAE with dedication and forward thinking to the future.”.

The audience and AAM alumni students were entertained with traditional singing by a student and poetry and dances by young students from two government schools.

The celebrations continued with more activities organized throughout the campus, including competitions, car design competition, traditional crafts and live traditional food cooking, fun activities for the students and their families.

The Emirati Studies students performed the epic tale “The Knight of the Homeland”, under the supervision of the Arabic and Emirati Studies Unit.

At the end of the celebration, Dr. Al Ansaari honoured the participants and organizers of the wonderful celebration. After that, the audience enjoyed a traditional lunch.
