A group of senior Business students from the HCT-Sharjah Women’s campus (SJW) visited Ernst & Young (EY) MENA head office to learn more about one of the “Big Four’s” practices
The objective of the visit was to give the students a first-hand understanding of how a multinational professional services firm operates at Dubai and Middle East. It also provides an opportunity for students to explore employment and career opportunities at such professional outfit.
The students had the opportunity to listen to the business direction of EY, both MENA and global level. Most importantly, the students got to listen and interact with an SJW graduate, Wardah Al Rais Director at Assurance Services, and with some Emirati graduates who has joined this professional outfit.
Amal Rashid, a senior business student said: “EY has opened my eyes about employment opportunities in the private sector. I have acquired more knowledge about the company and thankful for the opportunity to interact with EY employees.”
Another student, Shahad Abdalla, concurred with this view and further added: “This trip has given me insights to consulting as a choice of career.”
Nof Ibrahim also added that: “I have learnt about real life work practices at EY”.
This field trip, as an initiative of the Faculty of Business, contributes to the HCT 2.0 strategic goals of employability and partnerships with industry. For more information contact Dr. Lim Ngat Chin at email@example.com
