Ruwais Students Keen to Give Back to Community at Volunteering Fair

3 years

HCT Ruwais Campus hosted a highly successful volunteering fair on October 31, 2017, where the Ruwais Men’s (RWM) and Women’s (RWW) students were introduced to different volunteering opportunities from a range of organizations in Ruwais, Ghayyathi, Sila and Mirfa.

Organizations, such as Al Dhafra Region Municipality, Ruwais Housing, ADNOC  Ruwais Hospital, Red Crescent and the Zayed Higher Organization, showcased the available volunteering opportunities for the students.

“Giving back to the community is a national duty that HCT management and students are committed to keep. I thank you all for your support in the past year, and look forward for an even more successful year to come. Thank you for your time and effort,” Dr, Hashim Al Zaabi, Director of Madinat Zayed and Ruwais campuses, said.

Shaima Al Hammadi, Volunteering officer in Ruwais, said: ” Ruwais campus students are keen to look for opportunities to serve their country, benefit their community, and gain true life experience through the volunteering activities arranged inside and outside campus. This has helped them raise their confidence, build their teamwork skills, and even get to know hidden skills they never thought they have possessed.”
