DBW Students Gain an Insight into Work-Life Culture With UAE Exchange

1 year

UAE Exchange visited HCT-Dubai Women’s campus (DBW) on September 12 as part of the new ‘Employer on Campus’ initiative, targeting over 60 students from the Business, Computer Information Science and Engineering programs.

UAE Exchange is one of the leading global remittances, foreign exchange and payment solutions brands in the world.

As part of the Employer on Campus the DBW students meet various employers throughout the academic year who represent the various industries from the government, semi-government and private sectors. Employers engage directly with DBW students which raises awareness of the work-life culture, employment opportunities and the skills desired.

“We are pleased to contribute and support Emirati students across the country.  HCT is an excellent source for this talent, and we have built a strong relationship with this higher education institution for more than 10 years.  We will continue to do so in the future, and strive to fulfill the ambitions of young Emiratis in their careers,” Greg Shuler, Chief People Officer – UAE Exchange.

With the new concept, the employer can: offer networking opportunities to inform DBW students and alumnae of the companies’ job openings and their hiring processes; and offer job interviews on the day for full time and part time jobs, sponsorship, work placement and voluntary work. The employers can also conduct information and Q & A sessions, and career workshops while on campus.

Dr. Noura Al Hinai, DBW Manager of Academic Services & Advising, said: “The Employer on Campus initiative is an opportunity for our students to establish their professional careers at early stages. It supports our mission to develop young UAE nationals and meet the market demand with young, and potential calibers.”

“Our partnership with UAE Exchange is a real example of the success of this initiative that could lead this year to secure up to 60 golden job opportunities to HCT students, in one of the prominent global foreign exchange brands in the world,” she added.

“DBW‘s Career Services, Work Placement and Advising department is a diligent team providing resources and programs that assist students and graduates to realize career opportunities, personal growth and academic success,” Dr. Noura concluded.
