The Fujairah Women’s campus (FJW) was represented at the 2017 World Skills event in Abu Dhabi by a multi-department contingent of more than 135 students keen to learn more about the wide range of skills on display.

The group of students consisted primarily of Business students, but also students from the CIS, Health Science and Applied Media Divisions.

Students were able to meet organizations and representatives from industry, as well as over 1500 peers from 77 countries around the globe who were present to view, learn and participate in 51 new skills.

The event hosted exhibitors and participants from the fields of Construction & Building Technology, Creative Arts & Fashion, Information & Communication Technology, Manufacturing & Engineering Technology, Social & Personal Services and Transportation & Logistics.

Both students and faculty benefited from the diverse range of cultures, skills and industries who were participants in the event.

The students from the Fujairah Men’s campus were also given the opportunity to visit the event, later in the week.
