AAM Business Students Invest in Future Prospects with ADIC Visit

3 weeks

Business students at Al Ain Men’s campus (AAM) have had their eyes opened to the myriad of future career opportunities following a field trip to the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC) on September 14.

ADIC is an investment arm of the Government of Abu Dhabi, and known globally in the investment world for its extensive expertise in the field.

The visit, under the supervision of Ms. Mariam Aldhaheri and Dr. Pedro Longart, had the objective to expose Finance and Accounting students to a real financial institution and make linkages between theory and practice.

AAM students had the opportunity to listen to several presentations about the Council and the graduate opportunities available to them; the requirements to apply and interesting advises for being successful in their careers.

Mr. Ali AlZaabi welcomed the students and gave a presentation about the Council. After that, there were several presentations that covered many points and functions of ADIC and job opportunities ADIC are currently offering.

Students had the opportunity to ask many questions to Mr. Faris Almazrouei, of the Active Investment Strategies Department, who was very open to the students and also delivered two presentations.

The AAM Business department is very grateful to the Council for this opportunity and will continue the trend of exposing students to companies. The department will also seek to enhance connections with private and public organizations in the UAE.
