RKM Celebrates 26th Cohort of Graduates with Uplifting Ceremony

His Highness Sheikh Khalid Bin Saud Bin Saqar Al Qassimi, Chairman of Marjan Island, was the VIP guest of honour at the HCT-Ras Al Khaimah Men’s campus (RKM) graduation ceremony for the 26th Cohort, held on Thursday, April 27.

A total of 120 graduates were recognized at the ceremony for completing programs at Master, Bachelor, Higher Diploma and Diploma levels in the different fields of Business, Media, Engineering and Computer Information Sciences. Sixteen of the graduates received degrees with Distinction, in the levels of Highest Honor, Distinction with Honor and Distinction.

The ceremony was held at the Auditorium in the HCT-Ras Al Khaimah Women’s (RKW) campus, and was attended by staff, faculty, graduates, families and friends.

The ceremony started with the national anthem followed by short video introducing HCT’s vision and future. Dr. Abdullatif Al Shamsi, HCT Vice Chancellor, welcomed the guests of honour, invitees and graduates on behalf of the HCT Board of Trustees.

Dr Al Shamsi expressed his pleasure at witnessing a new generation of RKM graduates and he wished them all the best of luck in the next phases of their future careers and lives.

The graduation speech was delivered by Mohammed Ali Alzaabi, RKM Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology graduate, who wished the best of luck to his fellow alumni in their future careers.

The ceremony was concluded by His Highness Sheikh Khalid congratulations to the graduates followed by the presentation to him of a gift from the college.
