When he’s not running the Abu Dhabi Men’s campus’s (ADM) marketing and community relations department during the week, Abdul Halim Qaed can be found with his fellow 4WD enthusiasts in the UAE Adventure Club driving, tinkering with or showing off their pride and joy.
All that dedication paid off for the club, led by Halim, when it scooped the prizes at the recent Custom Show, held at ADNEC from March 30 to April 1.
Halim was awarded first place for his best-rated SUV, based on its advanced and systematic equipment which included environment friendly solar power equipment. Ultimately, it was these state-of-the-art devices which helped Halim’s vehicle to be distinguished from his competitors.
The UAE Adventures Club team also won five awards at the same tournament. This achievement comes after with their latest accomplishment in raising both UAE and HCT flags on the highest sand dune in the world – the Ramlet Jadilah dune in Mazyouna province, in the south of Oman. The club was the first auto group to achieve such a feat.
Abdul Halim Qaed said the club was very pleased and proud to add these awards to the achievements it has made, and will continue to make.
