Students, faculty and staff at the HCT-RAK campuses have discovered the fun and enjoyment that books provide when they participated in a series of highly interactive and fun events during the Library Week which was held from March 12-16, 2017.
Student activities range from Library game participation to snapping photos through the use of the Library Week themed photo booth, author book signing and browsing through rare books in the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition. The main event of the week was the book donation competition. The competition was opened to all students, faculty, and staff. The competition encouraged teamwork and sportsmanship. It identified the academic program which donated the most number of books. RKW CIS Division and RKM Foundations Division won the first prize. They received a cake and $500 worth of Magrudy’s book vouchers.
The RAK campuses Library Week 2017 was a time to recognize the contributions of our nation’s libraries and its staff . It also promoted and supported the use of the Library. Each activity during Library Week was highly enjoyed by students and faculty members alike.
