1 year

Three Business students from the HCT-Abu Dhabi Women’s campus (ADW) have had the perfect opportunity to share ideas and innovations on what makes a sustainable campus when they participated in the Sustainable Campus Initiative Annual Conference 2017, convened by the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD).

Mariam Jabir, Mouza Ali and Jwaher Salem joined experts, educators, students and other interested members of society to share their experience and environmental projects and discuss the challenges facing the UAE and the world at large to move towards sustainability.

The conference was held under the theme “Mainstreaming SDG’s and Paris Treaty Concerns in Universities of UAE”, with its sessions set up to examine current efforts and set a future road map for mainstreaming these challenges at universities and campuses.

The ADW students actively participated in round-table discussions, organized for UAE university students, on specifically chosen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are directly related to Sustainable Campus initiatives and are in line with Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.
