Computer and Information Science (CIS) students at the HCT-Dubai Men’s campus (DBM) have showcased the extent of their innovative learning and practical skills as they demonstrated their projects at the eNjazi Day 2017 on January 24.

The event was held in the presence of Dr Khaled Al Hammadi, DBM Director, members of DBM’s management and CIS faculty and students.

The CIS eNjazi Day is an annual occasion which gives the CIS students a unique chance to present their innovative projects and utilize the skills acquired throughout the course of their studies at HCT.

The CIS students from the different majors of Applications development, Security & Forensics, and Networking presented their final projects from last academic semester. Thirty-five students showed great enthusiasm while sharing their knowledge and work with the DBM community as they presented a total of 15 projects in the form of posters and demonstrations, including applications of the latest technologies in different fields.

Dr. Faouzi Bouslama, CIS Programme Chair at DBM, said that CIS students were very proud during the demonstration of their projects because they put their presentation and communication skills into practice. “Organizing such an event is important to allow our students to apply what they learn in their courses, acquire knowledge on the latest IT trends and innovation, develop presentation skills, as well as enhance their teamwork and collaboration skills,” he added.

Dr. Bouslama thanked Ms. Aisha Ghazal, IT faculty member, for her enthusiasm in organizing the event. He also thanked DBM Director Dr. Khaled Alhammadi, members of the Management, the CIS Department, and all the Service Departments at DBM for their continuous support and efforts in making this event a success.
