Students joining the HCT-Sharjah Women’s campus (SJW) for the first time were welcomed with open arms and warm smiles as the campus hosted an orientation session at the start of the 2016-17 second semester.
The orientation session provided new students with vital information needed to begin their college experience, by introducing them to the wide range of academic, intellectual, cultural, and social experiences available at SJW.
The campus’s Counsellors, Student Services team and Sports team all gave interesting presentations on how to adapt to college life, detailing the campus services, facilities and sporting and recreational activities. In addition, the campus Career Advisor was available for students to assist them on how to make a choice from the different programmes and majors on offer at SJW.
Students received an informative orientation pack which included information outlining the expectations for student behaviour, HCT rules and regulations and the required administrative forms to help students get off to a smooth start to the semester.
