ADM Aviation Engineering Students Reach for the Sky at MEBAA Air Show

HCT-Abu Dhabi Men’s Campus (ADM) Aviation Engineering students reached for the sky with their knowledge of the aviation industry when they visited the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) Airshow, one of the leading industry events in the UAE, at the Al Maktoum Airport, Dubai.

Whilst touring the various stands of international exhibitors, including the , the students learnt about the different aviation industry stakeholders, as well as the Business Aviation sector and its related job opportunities. They were also fortunate to visit the Displayed Aircraft exhibition and tour the different private and executive jet aircraft.


Student also attended a seminar entitled “Opportunities in Aviation in the Middle East and Africa”, where Ali Alnaqbi, Chairman of MEBAA, addresses the audience.

During the seminar, the representative from Airbus, ExJet and Boeing explained the different career paths and job opportunities in aviation for new graduates. Boeing also offered its International Business Intern Program to HCT students, which includes a six-month internship at the Boeing facility in Seattle, Washington where students will gain experience in the company’s different divisions, including Finance, Accounting, Project Management, HR and Marketing Analysis.

ADMC Aviation Engineering students all agreed that the trip was of great benefit, as it introduced them to employment and internship opportunities which they need to be aware about prior and after the graduation.


HCT Aviation Engineering faculty members Dr. Serdar Dalkilic, Mr. Tony Kukas, Mr. Peter Fraser and Mr. Kamal Jaiswal accompanied the students and helped them explore more about the aviation industry.

“Our students were exposed to the Business Aviation community and to find new opportunity of Aviation in GCC,” commented Dr. Serdar Dalkilic ADM Programme Chair of Aviation Engineering.
