Twenty Aeronautical Engineering Technology students from the HCT-Al Ain Women’s campus (AAW) got a privileged view of the workings of aviation industry when they attended the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) Exhibition at Dubai World Centre Airport on December 8, 2016.
The MEBAA Show is the Middle East’s leading business aviation exhibition staging the latest innovations, advances, products and services available from the world’s leading companies in the business aviation industry.
MEBAA visitors and exhibitors represent all aviation industry sectors including, but not limited to, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations), technology, services and management.
The students attended a seminar delivered by various industry representatives, including Airbus and Boeing, which highlighted diverse employment and internship opportunities in the business aviation sector.
During the tour, the students were able to explore customized models of different aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Gulfstream, Falcon and HondaJet.
The students also met delegates from the organization Women in Aviation International (WAI), a non-profit organization dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of women in all aviation career fields and interests.
The students were accompanied by two AAWC engineering faculty members, Dr Aman Melake and Mr Mohamad Muflehi.
