ADMC Gets Cerebral with Inaugural Chess Tournament

In collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Chess & Culture Club, the HCT-Abu Dhabi Men’s College (ADMC) hosted its inaugural chess tournament for students and staff.

The tournament saw 25 students and faculty members compete in five rounds of matches, which resulted in ADMC student Ahmed Ateeq Al Rumaithi winning the tournament. Another ADMC student Mohsen Saleh al-Hashemi took out the second place in the tournament.

Eng. Abdu Rahman Al Jahoushi, ADMC Director, and Dr Rashid bin Keshesh Al Dhaheri, General Counsellor of the Abu Dhabi Chess & Culture Club, honoured the winners and congratulated all competitors.

Dr Al Dhaheri praised ADMC and thanked the college management for its role in organizing the tournament which will help to refine the students’ mental and cognitive talents.

He expressed a wish to see future cooperations between the Abu Dhabi Chess & Culture Club and ADMC.
