The HCT-Abu Dhabi Women’s College (ADWC) welcomed over 600 new students at an orientation day, held at its Khalifa City campus last week.
Newly-registered students were welcomed by ADWC Director Dr Addel Al Ameri, and were introduced to the college’s support services, facilities and activities with a series of presentations by academics and support staff, who also gave the students an insight into what to expect in the upcoming academic year.
Students toured the campus and were introduced to the many learning technologies their teachers will use to enhance their learning experience, as well as the learning resources available to them. They also met with the Student Services, Academic Services, Counselling, Work Placement and Career Advising staff who will support them through their academic careers, and beyond into the workplace.
Dr Al Ameri said: “We wish all our students an enjoyable and rewarding academic career. All HCT faculty and staff are here to help our students gain the necessary job-related knowledge, life-skills and self-motivation that will enable them to succeed with their chosen careers. We hope that this will enable students to obtain the optimum balance between work and family life.”
