The HCT Sharjah Colleges recently recognized 52 Honours and Distinction students for their outstanding academic performance and involvement in student activities, events and community service.
Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi, HCT Vice Chancellor, in the presence of Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi Director of the Sharjah Colleges, recognized 24 distinguished students from the Sharjah Men’s College and 28 students from Sharjah Women’s College, with the presentation of certificates of appreciation.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Programme chairs, Division Executive Deans, faculty and staff, as well as a large number of male and female students from the two colleges.
Dr Al Shamsi confirmed HCT’s keenness to recognize its students, both for their academic achievements and involvement in community activities and events, which he said was in line with the HCT endeavours to provide graduates with advanced academic and personal skills and who demonstrate good citizenship.
He highlighted HCT’s aim to provide a supportive, innovative learning environment to develop talents and enhance innovation among students through study, social responsibility and voluntary work.
The Vice Chancellor praised the efforts of the Sharjah Colleges in organizing the ceremony and emphasized that students must continue to meet HCT aspirations and expectations in order to be of great value to the labour market, and to make HCT the number one choice for the various business sectors in the UAE.
In her address Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi warmly congratulated the students, expressing her pride in their remarkable achievements. She pointed out that the HCT is keen to support students at all levels and emphasized that the students being honoured were exemplary role models for their peers.
