This past semester, the students from the HCT-Dubai Women’s College’s (DWC) Humanitarian Club worked on a World Refugee Project, which was run under the theme of “Think and Act”.
The project was designed to create awareness of the plight of refugees all over the world and to make a difference by helping refugees keep warm this winter. As such, each week a different aspect of the life of refugees was shared with DWC students.
As part of the project, and with the permission of the Emirates Red Crescent, the students initiated collections of winter clothes and blankets for the refugees.
As a result of the heartwarming response and generous donations from the DWC Community, the students were delighted to be able to hand over 1743 items, in 46 boxes; to the Emirates Red Crescent.
