Arabic & Emirati Studies students from the HCT-Fujairah Women’s College (FWC) have impressed and enthused audiences with the launch of their highly colourful and interactive project, entitled Our Arabic is the Heritage of our Emirati Culture.
The project represented the Arabic and Emirati Studies programme’s celebrations of the 44th UAE National Day, the Martyr’s Day and the Day of Arabic Language.
It was inaugurated in the presence of Dr Abdullah Al Suweji, Director of the HCT-Fujairah Colleges, Dr Fatima Al Buraiki, Professor of Critique and Rhetoric, and Dr Obaid Al Muhairi, Executive Dean of Arabic and Emirati Studies.
Students’ strong sense of belonging and bonds to their homeland and Arabic language was expressed through their various projects and art exhibitions. Their hard word also reflected their great admiration for the founder of the Union, Sheikh Zayed Bin Nahyan, and for the martyrs who gave the finest examples of sacrifice to serve their nation.
The Arabic language also featured prominently in students’ innovations, through displays of Arabic calligraphy and workshops.
The many visitors to the exhibition expressed their appreciation of the students and faculty for a well-presented project.
