The HCT-Dubai Women’s College (DWC) recently organized its first annual Fun Day @ Work for Children to celebrate the end of the first semester.
The event was organized for the DWC community to bring their children to visit the work environment and spend a day on campus.
The day included a number of interactive events engaging parents with their children on campus, starting with preparing breakfast, followed by a movie and outdoor activities with BBQ lunch.
The 75 children of DWC staff and faculty who attended also enjoyed fun activities of arts and crafts, juggling, balloon twisting, iPad games and applications.
DWC faculty member Kevin Lim said: “The day was well organized with a lot of fun activities for faculty and their children. It was a great chance to unwind after the long semester.” His son Hudson Lim, who attended the event commented, “I really liked the movie and the Dubai Drums because they were both awesome. I hope this will happen again.”
DWC Director, Dr. Tarifa Ajaif Al Zaabi commented: “We are aiming for more engagement activities for the DWC community. It has been a long semester and all deserve a good time to reenergize and enjoy being part of the DWC team. It was rewarding to see the participation and enjoyment of all concerned and to appreciate the work of those involved in organizing the event.”
