The Business Division at the HCT-Ras Al Khaimah Women’s College (RKWC) started the new academic year by welcoming approximately 325 new and returning students to the campus.
The Division organized an orientation session to introduce the students to the Business programme, the new attendance and grading system policies, and a number of related topics to help students adjust to the new academic year ahead.
The orientation session, which was attended by the entire Business faculty team, started with a welcome speech from Abeer Al Rasbi, HCT-RAK Colleges Business Programme Chair. During her speech Abeer encouraged all students to succeed in their studies, stressing the importance of the students’ hard work towards graduation. The students were also urged to practise all business skills they learn throughout their studies, in addition to being reminded of the importance of such habits for their future professions.
Abeer was joined by Amal Al Qassimi, Student Service Supervisor, and Alya Al Shehhi, Student Service Senior Officer, who introduced students to the new students’ code of conduct “Methaq”.
Abeer Al Rasbi said: “It is always great to gather with our Business students, and they get to interact with each other and know each other, which breaks the beginning of the year ice and generates a profound start. It is like creating a hidden support system between students from different levels.”
