The HCT-Khalifa City Women’s College’s (KCWC) Baader Volunteering Club recently brightened the lives of children at Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs by visiting them with gifts and fun activities.
They wanted to achieve some of the wishes of the children, and did this with an array of activities, including organising a birthday party, and a game kitchen; and providing a PlayStation, remote controlled car and plane for the children to play with. Other activities included face painting and serving breakfast.
The students also brought balloons, sweets and gifts to share, and judging by the smiles all around, many wishes were achieved.
“We all have wishes, and passionately want someone to help us achieve those wishes. So we decided to collect some and achieve those for the children,”Club founder and leader Khadija Al Kaabi, said .
“They were at the tip of happiness, when they found their wishes in their hands,” she added.
The Baader Volunteering Club is a student-led group who volunteer some of their time and effort in community projects and activities; and is sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD).
