HCT-Sharjah Women’s College (SWC) Business student Asma Saeed Shuhail employed her entrepreneurial and creative skills to win the award for the most creative booth at the recently held 2nd Dubai World Hospitality Championship.
This prestigious event, held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and the Za’abeel Palace Hospitality, took place from October 30 to November 1 at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) and attracted more than 10,000 visitors.
Asma was the youngest exhibitor in the event and her creative booth and enthusiastic customer oriented service attracted a high number of visitors. Asma is the owner of a small enterprise providing personalized novelties for corporate and personal events. The quality in the design of her products stood out among other displays and garnered her the well-deserved award. She had an overwhelming response and received job orders from government and private institutions throughout the three-day event.
Asma’s inspirational success story is an example for other self-made entrepreneurs who strive to contribute local development to the Emirate of Sharjah.
She is part of the entrepreneurial student group mentored at the SWC Tomouh Innovation Center and has been invited by the Sharjah Human Resources Directorate to share her experiences as an Emirati entrepreneur at the 3rd International Human Resources Conference next month.
HCT Sharjah is very proud of Asma’s accomplishments.
