5 years

Leading business students from the HCT-Abu Dhabi Women’s College (ADWC) attended and participated in the Emirates Foundation Youth Philanthropy Summit 2014 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Abu Dhabi on November 3 and 4.

Students Nour Omar Baslaib, Amani Naser Alhadhrami, Shaikha Rashid Al Mazrouei, Ayesha Abdulla Al Busaeedi and Wafa Mohamed Al Thawadi were treated to seminars, workshops, panel discussions and debates that included “Busting the Admin Costs Myth”, “Leadership in a Social Organisation” and “Empowering Youth through Innovative Philanthropy”.

The two-day event was described by Shaikha as “the greatest, most wonderful youth conference I have ever attended.”

“This was a great experience and I learnt from many role models. I really want to attend this event again,” Nour said.

Both Nour and Shaikha were invited to be interviewed by the Emirates Forum team, and their experiences were shared for all to see.

All the students who attended were positive and interactive, and have written notes on their experience to share.
