HCT- Madinat Zayed and Ruwais Colleges Computer Information Science faculty member Dr Caesar Clemente is the toast of the Faculty after he was awarded the Best Paper Award at a conference convened last month in Hong Kong by the Society of Interdisciplinary Business Research.
The conference theme was “The Interdisciplinary Approach to Research, Practice and Learning”. The SIBR conference brought together academics and professionals from various business and economics disciplines to share latest research findings and brainstorm new research ideas across disciplines.
In addition, Dr Caesar’s paper will be published in the Review of Integrative Business & Economics Research (RIBER).
“It was both a humbling and inspiring experience,” he said. “Being recognized by your institution or your alma mater is good but being recognized by your peers in the research field is a humbling and inspiring experience. Getting the best paper award, reminded me of our noble duty as academicians to contribute to the repository of knowledge in order to make this world a better place,” Dr Caesar added.
Dr Caesar’s paper on “The Development of an Information Technology Management Model for Tertiary Educational Institutions (Madinat Zayed and Ruwais Colleges) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates” will be published in the Nov/Dec 2014 issue of the RIBER, the editorial committee of which commented that his manuscript “is a notable contribution to interdisciplinary research.”
The conference organisers, the Society of Interdisciplinary Business Research (SIBR) and Research & Development Institute of Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University (RDINRRU), encourage discussion on the latest research-in-progress.
