Inspired by the Learning by Doing initiative, HCT RKMC’s “Introduction to Engineering Technology” students recently visited local manufacturer RAK Ceramics.
Established in 1991, RAK Ceramics is a well-recognised industrial company that has made its way in the international market, where today its serves 160 countries with its contemporary ceramic and porcelain products.
The Engineering course requires first-hand experience in seminars and industrial field trips and, on this occasion, the students had the opportunity to not only to observe the technological side of an important national industry, but to learn about the roles, duties, responsibilities, fundamental skills and knowledge required in the students’ future engineering careers.
At RAK Ceramics the students witnessed the latest engineering technologies used in ceramics productions and became aware of the responsibilities and challenges that engineers face in their daily work. The students were astonished by the key roles they will need to fill upon graduation and the importance of theoretical and practical current studies in their future work.
HCT RAK Colleges continue with their commitment to expanding community connections and interactions that enable “Learning by Doing” and improve the quality of HCT graduates that will serve tomorrow’s UAE market.
