HCT and Ellucian recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will see the parties collaborate on capacity building initiatives and programmes designed to develop opportunities for technical professionals in the field of Higher Education Banner use in the MENA region.
The MoU was signed by Dr Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and John Speer, Chief Executive Officer of Ellucian.
Under the terms of the MoU, the parties agreed to investigate offering capacity-building programmes for technical professionals in the Higher Education Banner user community who are seeking Banner XE Developer Readiness skills.
The parties further agreed that the first course, Banner XE001, covering technical aspects of Banner XE will be offered as a pilot to HCT developers. The organisations will also consider offering the Banner XE001 course as a virtual product that extends the application of the course to a global client base.
