Exciting Events for the UAE 40th National Day at Sharjah HCT

Sharjah Higher Colleges of Technology (SHCT) is marking the 40th National Day with a variety of exciting events and activities held on campus on Tuesday, November 29.

Activities planned at both the Women’s and Men’s campuses, include the making of the Human UAE Flag; poetry sessions; a traditional UAE wedding procession along with UAE musical bands, a children singing group, a car decoration contest; a decorated float parade featuring UAE leaders, landscapes and landmarks as well as  a cultural competition.

This year's celebrations at Sharjah HCT will commemorate the great leadership of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahayan, the founder of the UAE.

In addition, a traditional village has been created in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs at the Sharjah HCT campus for students to see and buy traditional handicrafts and artworks made by UAE national craftsmen; local cooking demonstrations and degustation; Arabic tea, coffee and bukhour; and much more.

Promotional activities include multimedia presentations featuring the history of the UAE and photos of the nation as well as quotes from the UAE leaders on all plasma screens across the campus; posters in classrooms and main entrances; banners and large flags on the main buildings and lamp posts.
