HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor Higher Colleges of Technology, together with HCT Vice Chancellor Dr. Tayeb Kamali, visited the HCT’s Abu Dhabi Women’s College display at the recent education and training exhibition, Najah.

Leading ADWC students represented the HCT at the popular annual fair, which was officially opened by HE Sheikh Nahayan on 18 October at ADNEC, with dozens of stands representing colleges and
universities from around the world. Throughout the three-day exhibition, ADWC’s team of student leaders provided a window into the life of an HCT student as they interacted with hundreds of visiting female school students.

The ADWC stand at the Najah 2011 Exhibition was very popular with students interested to know more about the HCT.

Fatima Al Nuaimi, president of ADWC’s Student Council, was among those who greeted HE Sheikh Nahayan, together with Fahad Alshehhi of Dubai Men’s College, who leads the HCT’s Student Council.

After speaking with dozens of young women interested in the HCT, Fatima said: “I am proud to represent my College, with all the majors and opportunities we offer.”

Fatima and her fellow ADWC student leaders answered a variety of questions from the curious high school students, offering an insider’s view into ADWC.

ADWC Director Dr. Jace Hargis said: “It’s always an honor for our students to greet HE Sheikh Nahayan, and we’re especially pleased that these ADWC students have given their time to meet and interact with Abu Dhabi’s female high school students. There can be no greater recommendation for a College than that given by its students, not only in their words but in their character and work ethic.”
