Three Dubai Men’s College IT students recently received the prestigious Industry Award of Excellence from the British Computer Society (BCS) at the third Competitive Intelligence Forum at Abu Dhabi Men’s College.
Saeed bin Mahyoh, a graduate from the Bachelor of Business Information Technology (BITE) program, Rashed Al Hashimi, who is currently studying for his Bachelor degree in BITE and Salah Salem Saeed Mohammed Garib, who is currently a Higher Diploma student, were presented with their awards by His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology and the BCS President, Alan Pollard.
DMC IT department chair, Hassan Khabbazeh, said the college was proud of the students.
“The winners of these awards were all exemplary students with regard to their attitude to learning, their achievements, assignments, projects and exams as well as for their contribution to college and departmental life,” Hassan said.
“We are very proud of these students for meeting international standards and are delighted that such a renowned organization as the BSC chose them to receive such prestigious awards.”
The British Computer Society is the leading body for those working in IT. It is also an international awarding organization for a wide range of qualifications for both users of IT and IT specialists.
