Industry leaders and the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) have proudly recognized 54 graduates in the top 10 percent of their graduating class as Abu Dhabi Industry Award winners.
The award, now in its sixth year, was created to encourage national students to pursue professional programs which are vital for local industry, to encourage national students to excel in their studies and to give UAE industry leaders an opportunity to recognize excellence in national graduates.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology opened the Abu Dhabi Industry Awards and congratulated all award recipients for their exceptional achievements.
“We are extremely proud of your accomplishments, your enthusiasm and dedication to academic excellence. Your contributions will reflect positively on our country’s future,” Sheikh Nahayan said.
Since its inception, more than 200 outstanding graduates in Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Communications, Education, Health Sciences and Business programs have been recognized by UAE Industry leaders.
This is the first year that graduates from all the 16 colleges of HCT were eligible to receive such distinction. In previous years, it was only open to HCT colleges in the Abu Dhabi emirate.
